The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.

Dr. Mario Samaniego

Dr. Mario Samaniego is originally from El Paso, TX but at a young age migrated to California where he attended high school and dental school at Loma Linda University. After dental school he joined the USAF for specialized training in every area of dentistry.

In 1984, Dr. Samaniego started his practice in Las Cruces, NM and in Alamogordo, NM. Growth in both practices occurred so quick that he had to bring in other doctors to assist with the patient load. Continuing education has been one of his top priorities and being in general dentistry requires keeping up with the latest developments. Dr. Samaniego has been able to help many patients with TMJ problems, orthodontics, complete reconstructions and cosmetic dentistry.Dr. Samaniego is one in two hundred and forty dentists in the world that practices the Bio Esthetic Dentistry Technique in treating his patients. This technique combines stable TMJ’s in the alignment with the patients bite to create long lasting, beautiful smiles. In 2008 Dr. Mario Samaniego was selected by Consumers Research Council of America as one of America’s top dentists. He is among a select few that have earned this prestigious recognition. He has also been named as The Most Favorite Dentist in Las Cruces, NM by Las Cruces Sun News Readers.

Dr. Samaniego is very concerned about education for our youth and for years has been involved in raising funds for scholarships. Several years ago, he funded a program that provides scholarships for senior students going to college. So far, about 50 scholarships have been given to students.

His hobbies include dentistry, cycling, old cars, gardening, and traveling.

Dr. Justin Martone

Education:

Doctor Justin Martone was born in Miami, FL and attended high school in Boca Raton, FL in which he excelled in both academics and athletics. Throughout high school he spent much time with his grandfather and uncle, who were both dentists, and often assisted them without any knowledge that one day he would be a dentist. After graduation he attended University of Miami and studied under their pre-med program and graduated with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

During his time at Miami he met his wife and was very involved with community and school activities. Upon graduation he then began to attend Dental School at Temple University in Philadelphia. He joined the Alamogordo Dental Group in November of 2006 when his wife was stationed at Holloman A.F.B., and has loved it ever since. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry including root canal therapy, oral surgery, and prosthetic/cosmetic dentistry. During his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, and plays many sports to keep active

Dr. Jaime R. Gonzalez
Doctor Jaime R. Gonzalez graduated with a D.D.S. degree (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from Loma Linda University Dental School in 1996. After graduation, doctor Gonzalez moved to Alamogordo and has practiced dentistry at the Alamogordo Dental Group for the last eleven years. Doctor Gonzalez provides the following services for his patients: restorative dentistry (silver fillings and composite - white - fillings), fixed prosthodontics (crowns and bridges), removable prosthodontics (dentures and partials), bleaching, oral surgery (extractions), pedodontics (treatment of children), and minor orthodontic treatment (braces).

Doctor Gonzalez was born in Tijuana, Mexico. He graduated from Marian Catholic High school in 1987. He then attended Marymount College, Palos Verdes, and La Sierra University, before being accepted into Loma Linda University Dental School in San Bernadino, California.

Doctor Gonzalez currently lives in Alamogordo with his wife Elvia H. Gonzalez.


Cynthia Gutierrez R.D.H.
Cynthia Gutierrez was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She currently resides in La Mesa, Nm. After graduating from Bel Air High School she attended El Paso Community College. While attending school she was active in community dental health functions and volunteering. In 1999 she graduated with a degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.

She joined the Las Cruces Dental practice in 2001. Since then she has enjoyed working with a great staff on a daily basis and also continues to be very passionate about dental hygiene and reaching every patients goal on having a great and healthy smile.

Lisa Orozco R.D.H.
Lisa Orozco was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from Bel Air High School in 1988, and then continued her education at El Paso Community College. She went on to receive her Associate of Dental Hygiene in 1991. Lisa then furthered her education by going to Phoenix College to get her license in anesthesia in 1992.

She moved to Alamogordo over 17 years ago and has since been working for Alamogordo Dental Group with such an energetic staff that really cares about their patients. On my time off I love to go camping and enjoy drag racing with my husband and son.

Michelle Montoya R.D.H.
Michelle Montoya was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from Montwood High School in 2002. In high school, she met her husband and was introduced to his father, who is a dental hygienist also. Her father-in-law always wanted one of his five children to follow in his profession and it turned out to be Michelle. She then attended El Paso Community College in 2002 and graduated in 2005.

Michelle immediately got hired at the Alamogordo Dental Group and has happily worked here for two years. She also attended Phoenix College in 2008 for her Local Anesthesia Certification.

Christine Ceniceros R.D.H.
Christine is originally from La Union, NM, and is a graduate from Santa Teresa High School. Wile in high school she was influenced to the dental profession by her orthodontist. Soon after getting married she moved to El Paso, Texas. While attending El Paso Community College, with the help of her guidance counselor she discovered the profession of dental hygiene. During her studies she took part in community dental activities and local volunteer projects. She received her Associate Degree in Applied Science, Dental Hygiene in 2006.

She joined the Las Cruces Dental Group in July of 2006 and enjoys her career and being part of a team that creates beautiful smiles. Outside of the office she enjoys keeping active and spending time with her husband, daughter and son.
